Remington Arts Festival

The Remington Arts Festival is a celebration of the life and works of North Country artists Frederic Remington, who was born in Canton, NY. Remington was a noted illustrator and sculptor. The event is held this year, September 26-27.

Activities include art show in the Canton Village Park, student are competition, children’s time, carriage and wagon rides, walking tours of Historic Canton, farmer’s market, 5K run, chicken barbecue and live entertainment. Special events are also held at the Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg. Although Remington grew up in the Canton area, a museum dedicated to his art and life is located in Ogdensburg, about 20 miles from Canton.
