Fright NightFright Night is a celebration in the village of Potsdam when children have an opportunity for safe trick-or-treating, in addition to special family activities such as pumpkin carving contests, coloring contests, story telling in the park, and haunted houses. The event is held annually the Thursday before Halloween. (If Halloween falls on a Friday, the event is held the previous week). Businesses along Main and Market streets offers special sales and shopping opportunities, in addition to the children’s specials. Market Street is blocked off to vehicular traffic, making it for a safe pedestrian area. The event is sponsored by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. | ||
