Cost: $100 USD per contestant through July 17, 2009. July 18-August 11 (as space permits) $125 per contestant. Open to youth age 11-18 and parent/guardian.

Thursday, August 13: Mort Backus and Sons Carp Fishing School Learn the basics of carp fishing, or for those veterans of the tournament, try you hand at some special tips and tricks.

Friday – Saturday, August 14-15: St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament

What to Expect

Tom Felton and his brother Chris have been an important part of the St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament and are outspoken advocates of Carp fishing. Tom’s older brother Chris suggested a youth tournament six years ago, and it is still going strong and has grown each year.

The headquarters of the tournament are at the Donald Martin Civic Center in Waddington, the Carp Capital of the World. Fishing takes place in Waddington, Ogdensburg and Coles Creek, with possible sections in Louisville and Massena.
